Freeman Gardens in Glen Ridge, New Jersey is a historic horticultural gem designed by renowned landscape architect Ethelbert Furlong. Once part of an estate, the property was donated by the Freeman family in 1967 and is now maintained by a volunteer committee.
Freeman Gardens, open year-round to the public, boasts a formal rose garden and an abundance of flowering plants, shrubs and trees. Due to its small size, visitors are free to spend as much time as they wish wandering through these serene surroundings.

If you’re a fan of sculpture, look no further! This museum and garden offer over 400 pieces in an eclectic blend of nature and art. You’ll see dancing figures crafted out of paintings as well as abstract expressions in the garden.
The grounds are immaculately kept, boasting some of the state’s finest azaleas. Additionally, you’ll find a gazebo with seating for guests, fish ponds and other attractions nearby.
