Crane Creek Regional Park stretches for 128 acres along the eastern edge of Rohnert Park, featuring rolling grasslands and oak savannas. Here you’ll find an array of trails – 3.5 miles worth – through wildflower-covered meadows to sweeping ridges that offer panoramic views across the countryside.
There are also several hike-only trails, such as the Lupine Trail 0.4 miles across Crane Creek with breathtaking vistas of the park and mountains beyond. These paved, gravel and dirt trails can accommodate hikers of all levels from beginners to experts.
Hiking Crane’s Roost trails is an excellent way to enjoy some nature and a peaceful experience in an urban setting. The paths are well marked and easy to follow, while the scenery along the riparian creek is truly breathtaking.
The Trails are open year-round and the park is accessible to guests with disabilities. An ADA-accessible parking lot is conveniently located across Pressley Road from the main entrance of the Trails.
This idyllic park is the ideal spot for a picnic and taking in breathtaking sunsets. There are also several benches scattered around the grounds where you can sit back and savor your time outdoors.
In addition to its stunning scenery, the park is an ideal venue for outdoor events. It can host a range of activities like weddings or concerts and has ample parking and restrooms.
It also features a large playground for kids to enjoy. The playground features various play equipment, such as slides and swings. Plus, you’re just minutes away from several restaurants where you can have lunch or entertainment while taking in the sights at the park.
The park is conveniently situated close to Altamonte Springs Mall and other popular attractions in the area, as well as being only a short drive away from University of Florida – another short drive away.
Aside from being a stunning park, this area is ideal for outdoor events and parties. There is ample seating as well as an elevated stage with lighting features.
Crane’s Roost Park hosts several festivals and special events throughout the year. Some are free, while others require an admission fee.
